Taking time out.

Heads up my lovelies. On Monday MrD was admitted to hospital with a severe infection in his leg. It all started with a bit of a bump and scratch from falling over in the mud the other week.

He is on the road to recovery, but it's a very slow road. I don't even want to think too much about just how sick he was on Monday night. He's still pretty much immobile, but he's starting to get some movement back in his leg. They're pumping him full of about 3 or 4 hard core antibiotics and strong painkillers. For someone so active, it's driving him a little bonkers ;) Unfortunately for him, he's going to be there for a while longer.

The kids and I are getting over our shock I think. We're taking everything one day at a time. Thankfully, with just 5 days left in the school year, there's lots to keep their minds off things, but it's heart breaking to wander down the hallway and hear your 5yo sobbing into his pillow because he's worried about Daddy.

All this means that I am spending several hours a day at the hospital in between running errands for MrD and trying to finish packing up the house ready to move. So I'm taking a little break from regular blogging for a bit.

I'm also deactivating my digital listings in my Etsy store tomorrow. I won't have steady access to the computer, and to be honest, my brain is elsewhere. My crochet hooks will remain available to purchase until the day I have to pack up the computer and then I'll put my shop on vacation until we are settled in.

Please note though that Christmas order dates for international orders close on December 1st. That's 2 days from now. After that, there's not much chance an order from Australia will reach an international destination by Christmas. Local Australian Christmas orders close December 10.

Thank you all for being such lovely readers of my blog. Your kind comments always touch my heart. Be kind to each other and always hug tight those you're closest to.
